Bootie weather approaches

I did a 4 mile loop tonight from Willamette Park around Ross Island in about 52 minutes. Now, I’m not bragging, I’m just using that time as a reference, because when I got back to the dock to remove my board and walk to my car, I couldn’t feel my feet! The river temp has sneakily declined and is currently passing by 58 fahrenheit clearly on it’s way to the 40’s and typical winter temperatures. Unless you really don’t mind those chilly temperatures, it may be time to consider wearing booties for the remainder of the year. By November, we may all be considering Farmer John/Jane suits, too!

Stay warm, stay safe, stay paddling!
